Rev. Paul L. Willweber was born on February 24, 1968 in Mission Hills, California and was Baptized on March 24, 1968 at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church. He grew up in Granada Hills, California, which is in Los Angeles. He attended Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska, where he received a degree in Communication in 1991. He then went to the seminary, graduating in 1995 from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
His first call was to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Odessa, Texas, where he served for three years as the assistant pastor. In 1998 he was called to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in San Diego, California, where he continues to serve.
In 1996 he married Sara Dodge and they have been blessed with four children. Their oldest son, Ryan, was called to his eternal home in heaven when he died in a car accident on April 30, 2015 when he was 17 years old. Cory is in college and Katy and Sean are in high school.
He and his family love to go on vacations, traveling to many places. Pastor Willweber loves his family, being a pastor, music, running, reading, movies, traveling, theology, history, language, and sports, especially the San Diego Padres and the L.A. Lakers.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Stephen's love for music began at an early age playing piano.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii and graduate work at San Diego State University in music.
His interests include early church musicology, writing music, working in his garden and spending time with his wife, Kimberly.
Stephen joined the Prince of Peace staff in 1999 as our church organist and choir director.
