Rev. Paul L. Willweber was born and raised in Granada Hills, California. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska in 1991. He then went to the seminary, graduating from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri 1995. His first call as a pastor was to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Odessa, Texas, where he served for three years as an assistant pastor. In 1998 he was called to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in San Diego, California, where he continues to serve. Pastor Willweber married Sara Dodge in 1996 and they have been blessed with four children. Their oldest son, Ryan, was called to his eternal Home in heaven when he died in a car accident on April 30, 2015 when he was 17 years old. Their other children are Cory (16), Katy (14), and Sean (12). They love to go on family vacations, traveling to all kinds of places. Pastor Willweber loves traveling, music, running, reading, and watching movies.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Stephen's love for music began at an early age playing piano.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii and graduate work at San Diego State University in music.
His interests include early church musicology, writing music, working in his garden and spending time with his wife, Kimberly.
Stephen joined the Prince of Peace staff in 1999 as our church organist and choir director.
